And now the news you seniors have been waiting for! Prom is coming!!!
The 2026 Prom will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.
The theme is Masquerade and it will take place at the Ashton Depot in Downtown Fort Worth. Mr. Weesner and Ms. Shannon are the Senior sponsors in charge of planning the event. They have been working on contacting the venue and planning catering for the events. They have also had the jobs of picking table cloths and floral arrangements.
Dinner will be Lemon Thyme Crusted Chicken Breast with roasted garlic parmesan potatoes and broccoli. There will be assorted desserts and a signature mocktail. Vegetarian options will be provided.
Weesner’s goal is to have a variety of fun events, but also not let them take away from the main focus of the event. He plans to balance fun and not have so much going on that people can’t dance. Senior Riley Romero said, ”Everyone should dance! If you don’t feel like dancing, call your uber.” Some of the activities besides dancing include a photo booth, face painting, and caricature artists. This year, there will be a scheduled time to get your caricature done so that guests are able to spend less time in line and more time on the dance floor!
Those attending the prom are encouraged to bring a mask that matches their outfit. Last year at prom, it was a popular trend to wear Easter- like dresses. There was lots of backlash from that, “Wear that to church on Sunday morning, but not prom,”- anonymous senior. This year we are branching away from the Easter dresses and going back to sparkly dresses or a timeless A-line dress.
Tickets go on sale in April so its time to line up a date (or not) find an outfit and get ready to party!
