The rock band Creed will be performing at Lucas Oil Live at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, on December 27, 2025. The concert will be part of their five-show Creedmas Tour which was announced in September.
Other tour destinations include Hollywood, Florida; Hanover, Maryland; and Uncasville, Connecticut. The show will feature opening performances from Hinder and Sevendust.
Creed will make their return to the Texas area after selling out Dickies Arena in November of 2024. That concert included performances from Mammoth WVH and 3 Doors Down and was part of the Are You Ready? Tour which followed their Summer of ‘99 reunion tour. Junior Will Winfrey, who went to the 2024 show said, “The concert was crazy… My friends and I had a great time.”
“It was such a surreal experience to be a part of. Listening to those songs in my car and then seeing them live in concert was definitely something I will never forget,” said junior Griffin Lee, who also attended the show.
Creed has gained lots of unexpected popularity over the last few years partially thanks to a couple of professional sports teams. In 2023, the Texas Rangers went on an unforgettable postseason run which led to their first World Series championship in franchise history. Throughout the postseason, the Rangers became associated with Creed after playing ‘Higher’ in the clubhouse before games.
Fans caught on as the song was played in the stadium and became the team’s unofficial anthem. The band eventually heard about this and made a surprise appearance ahead of an ALCS matchup versus the Houston Astros.
The Minnesota Vikings were another team that helped spark Creed’s resurgence. Inspired by the Texas Rangers, Vikings quarterback, Kirk Cousins, started playing ‘Higher’ in his team’s locker room.
After a few important wins, the team began to embrace the band’s music as they felt it contributed to their winning streak.
“They keep playing ‘Higher’… Creed has a lot of hits, they’ve got a good catalog. We don’t only have to play ‘Higher’, but they’re taking us higher, so we’ll take it,” said Cousins in a postgame conference after a win over the 49ers.
Tickets for the December 27 concert are starting at around $135 and are selling fast. The drive to WinStar World Casino is a little over an hour long, but is well worth it if you are a Creed fan or a music fan in general.
