Do you have any old books you haven’t read since you were little? Or maybe you have books that you’ve already finished and need to get rid of? This holiday season it’s all about giving, and making an impact on someone else’s Christmas. With that being said, any Paschal High School student has the opportunity to help out and donate their books to someone else in need. 

Younger students who are learning to read are able to utilize these books to expand their knowledge in ways they didn’t have access to before. Many students during the breaks (winter and summer) aren’t able to go to their school libraries or don’t have access to a public library card. And the older kids and students who will receive these books would be grateful to have a book that someone their age has read and enjoyed. Your donation also doesn’t need to only contain books, but you can also turn in DVDs, movies, CDs, or even coloring books! By your donation, you can improve and make a difference in someone’s Christmas break and even their summer break!

Charlotte Swiger (10), who is a paschal student, has helped organize this book drive and wants to emphasize, “some of these little kids possibly don’t have books to read at home”. Your books can really make a difference in a child’s life.

This is an easy way to engage in your community and be able to give back. It’s as simple as just collecting the books you want to give away, bringing them down to the office or library, and knowing that your books will end up with someone in need.

These old books and donations can be dropped off in the office or the library by Friday December 12th!
