Seventeen Paschal High School Choir students have advanced to the second round of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State auditions. This marks an impressive milestone in a process known for its rigor and selectivity.
The TMEA All-State audition process is made up of four rounds and is considered one of the most challenging music competitions in the state. Students must prepare collegiate-level music and demonstrate strong vocal technique, musical interpretation, and sight-reading skills (Only for rounds 3 and 4). Only the top 3 percent of high school musicians in Texas earn a place in the final All-State ensembles.
Advancing to the second round reflects the dedication and discipline of Paschal’s choir members, who have spent countless hours rehearsing, practicing cuts and sight-reading, and preparing for the many challenges ahead. The next rounds will further test their skills as they continue to strive for the prestigious All-State honor.
This achievement highlights the strength of Paschal High School’s choir program and the commitment of its students musical excellence.
