This past weekend, the Lady Panthers achieved four wins over the course of a three-day tournament at Granbury. Additionally, the Tuesday prior, Varsity also celebrated a sweep in their match against Godley. The week consisted of big wins, strong scores, and opportunities to build team chemistry.
Coach Reimann has even acknowledged the team’s increasing chemistry, culture, genuine enjoyment around each other, and the fun they have while still working hard. “Their team chemistry is amazing, they have tremendous senior leadership, and they have fun out there!” he said. He is looking forward to playing Heights and going undefeated in district. With continued attention to details, strong athletic blockers, a focused libero and defense, and a balanced offense, all building momentum, Coach Reimann has no doubt the team will succeed on and off the court this season.
Our Seniors shared what they look forward to most this season, and what they want to accomplish as they enter their final season at PHS. Ava Dyer(12), our D1 commit #7, succeeds in all aspects of reading the ball and executing a phenomenal pass, keeping the ball in play at all times. Dyer said she is most looking forward to playing with her best friends this season.
Whether it requires an ace serve, defense on back row, or outside attacks from front row. Delaney Chase(12), #5, is always ready to step in and get the job done. “I’m most looking forward to renewing our title as district champs and making the most of my last season playing the sport I love, while creating even stronger bonds with my teammates,” she shared. Leave it to Chase to get the ace!
Emerson Gebhardt(12), #3, never fails to achieve great energy on the court and bench. “One last time on the court and all the things that come with being a senior on varsity” is what she is looking forward to most as she finishes out her last season. Though she is currently nursing an injury, Gebhardt is eager to get back out there, blocking and killing every ball that is sent her way.
Go PANTHERS! Heights bites!
