The varsity tennis team served up a dominant start to the 2025 season, delivering a clean 19-0 sweep against Polytechnic High School in their first district matchup.
With every player on the roster securing a win, the team showed depth and early-season form that gestures at a promising run ahead. From singles to doubles, the match was a showcase of both individual talent and teamwork.
“This was a great way to kick off the season,” said number one star player Cutter Carrell “Everyone came out strong and played with great energy.”
Each match counted toward the final score, with 19 matches played in total and every one going in favor of our school. It was a complete team effort, highlighting the skill and preparation that have been building behind the scenes at practice.
The team’s performance sets a high bar for the rest of the season and sends a strong message to the rest of the district: they’re here to compete and win.
The varsity squad will continue district play next week against Northside High School, looking to carry the momentum into their next match and build on a flawless opening performance.
