Have you ever had the First Day jitters before you head back to school in the fall, or nervous to start a new job ?
These were the feeling that many of the new teachers here at Paschal felt as they nervously awaited their First Day of school.

Coach Wise a is new teacher here at Paschal ,prior to working here he taught at TCC for 3 years and was in the IT field for 25 years.
He teaches BIM and Money Matters, and when he’s not doing that he is coaching Football and Girls Flag Football.
For his first day, Wise said, “I was super nervous because I had no idea what to expect but the students were so great and patient with me that it made it the best first day ever!”
He wants the students to know,
“The only thing I have ever wanted to be is a High School football coach and teacher, so I am getting to live out my dream job, and I want the absolute best for each one of my students!”
This year he is looking forward to getting to know his students more and watching them grow!
Mrs. Smith is a new AP U.S History teacher here at Paschal, but this is her fourth year teaching.
For her first day at Paschal she said, “It was great! Lots of pride amongst the staff and students to be here. Students are engaged and eager to learn.

Everyone is very respectful and kind.” She’s excited to get to know her students and understand more the culture here at Paschal!
Mr.Moore teaches AP English Language and Honors English lll.
Although he is a new teacher, he is somewhat familiar with Paschal
because he was in a classroom with Mr. Dismuke and Dr. Gayle before becoming a teacher.
He also briefly taught reading to students in 3-5 grade. He said that his first day at Paschal was,
“Exciting! I am enjoying everything so far: teaching, students, making connections with the staff.” For this school year, he is looking forward to, “Bringing new perspectives, learning, and having fun!”
Ms. Bristol is a first year band teacher. She shared how her first day of school was, “Pretty good! Wild but it was fantastic finally getting the school year started!”
She’s so excited to work with all of the students and she is looking forward to all of the band’s performances and showing off her Paschal pride!
Ms. Hornbuckle teaches on level Chemistry and Honors Chemistry. This is going to be her third year teaching, before moving to Texas she taught in Florida where she was born and raised.
She says her first day was “Amazing! My coworkers and students are both awesome! It’s going to be a fun year.”She wants students to know, “My favorite hobbies are reading and playing video games (Souls-likes are the best)!”
She is most looking forward to the culture of excellence at school, as well as seeing all of the students participate in the things they love.
Ms. Hammonds is also a new teacher here at Paschal but she’s worked for 27 years! She teaches English III, English IV, and is the coach of the JV girls soccer team, and varsity assistant coach. She says ” my first day at Pachal was amazing and i’m excited to get to know the staff and students more”.
