Paschal softball started their season out slow at 3-8, but they made an amazing turnaround as soon as district play began, winning 12 straight and earning themselves a playoff spot against Burleson. Unfortunately, the amazing winning streak came to an end as they lost both games 13-3. Nevertheless, it was still an amazing season, and the Lady Panthers should be very proud of themselves.
On the other hand, Paschal baseball is looking to make it back-to-back seasons of getting out of the first round of the playoffs.

Last year, the Panthers faced Timber Creek in the first round and won that series in game 3. They moved on to face Midland Legacy and lost two tight games, ending their season.
On April 28, Paschal played their last regular-season game against Midland Legacy, a solid team. Paschal won 10-3, ending their season on the right note. Sebastian Piria (11) went 4-4 with a double, an RBI, and scored 2 runs.
The Panthers will most likely start their ace, Jackson Dyer (12), in game one against Burleson. However, there are multiple ways Coach Dunham could treat this series. He could start their second-best pitcher in game one and hope everything goes well so that Dyer can close out the series on Saturday, or he can play the series traditionally, using his best pitchers on Friday.
Game 1 and Game 2 for the Panthers will take place at Saginaw, the first one being on Thursday at 7:00 pm and the second following on Friday. If Game 3 is needed, it will also be at Saginaw.
Overall, both PHS teams should be extremely proud of themselves in year one of the new district.
