The Panthers did just that as they won thrillingly 30-28. Dylan Williams (12) blocked the potential game-winning kick against Wyatt and it will forever go down in history for Paschal.
Paschal now has one regular-season game left, and it is the season’s most anticipated game: the Arlington Heights game. Heights and Paschal are similar teams, with Heights’s overall record of 8-1 and Paschal’s 7-2. If Paschal secures a win, they will finish above Heights in the district and vice versa if Heights wins.
Paschal’s tight end, Luke Tevis (12), claimed early on in the season that he was most excited to “play and beat Heights.”
He adds, “This is one of the oldest rivalries in Texas, and I am excited to restore that rivalry.” The now 93-year-old rivalry was revitalized with Paschal’s switch to 5A.
The Panthers have much to look forward to, but the prospect of taking down Heights is on every player’s mind this week.
The varsity football team will play in their first playoff game on November 15th; the team they will play remains undecided.
This Friday’s game against Heights will be tight, so be there to cheer on your Panthers to victory!
