Paschal lost a heartbreaking game against Saginaw on Friday, 39-31. The Panthers now fall to third in the district behind Arlington Heights and Saginaw. Paschal was in control for the majority of the game but let the lead slip in the second half.
Paschal had a halftime lead of 31-13, and it looked like the Panthers would win the game in dominant fashion. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as Paschal failed to score in the second half and lost 39-31 to an amazing comeback by Saginaw. The Rough Riders scored 26 unanswered points in the second half.
Paschal still looked very good in the first half and fans should have a lot of hope for this team as they are in the backstretch of the regular season. The Panthers are sitting well in the playoff picture as the top 4 teams from District 4 make the playoffs. Paschal is in third place going into their game against the Wyatt Chaparrals who are having a down season with a record of 2-5. Thursday’s game will be considered a must-win game for the Panthers if they want to stay in contention for the number one spot in the district.
Paschal is now two games away from the big-time Arlington Heights matchup on November 8th. Both teams are very similar as Arlington Heights has a record of 7-1 with their only district loss to Saginaw as well. Paschal and Heights fans are ecstatic for the matchup and it should be a fun one with both teams playing well.
