Paschal football is off to an amazing start in district play, with a 4-0 record and a 5-1 record overall. Paschal has its biggest game of the season so far on Friday, versus undefeated Saginaw, who just beat Arlington Height last week.
Paschal is now ranked second in the district behind Saginaw, meaning the Panthers will be number one if they win Friday. Paschal is gaining a lot of buzz for their undefeated district record and crowds have been larger each game.
Saginaw had a similar turnaround as Paschal. Last year, the Rough Riders had a poor record, only winning one game in 2023. Saginaw was in District 3 5-A, and with the re-alignment this year, they are in District 4 with Paschal. Saginaw beat Arlington Heights in a close game on Friday, 21-15.
Last week Paschal took on the Polytechnic Parrots and crushed them 50-15. Paschal quarterback Jashaun Thomas (11) threw for 159 yards and ran for 50 with two touchdowns in the air and one on the ground. Paschal’s leading rusher was Maki Gee (12) who had 11 carries for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Tevis (12) and Michael Guerrero (11) also each caught a touchdown.
Paschal is looking for a big crowd on Friday as they have their biggest game yet versus Saginaw at Saginaw High School at 7:30. Come support your football team!
