The PHS football team has now taken back-to-back-to-back wins by 20+ points and they find themselves 2-0 in district play. Junior quarterback Jashaun Thomas was amazing in Paschal’s win against North Side as he rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns. Thomas also threw for two touchdowns and 169 yards. Senior running back Marquez Dean was another key player in the win as he rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only 6 carries.
Currently, Paschal’s leading receiver is Chris Debenport (Sr.) who averages 70 yards per game. Additionally, the leading rusher is Marquez Dean (Sr.) who averages 66 yards per game. On the defensive side, Tex Shope (Sr.) leads the team in tackles with 10 per game.
Now, Paschal looks forward to its Homecoming game matchup versus Chisholm Trail, which will put Paschal to the test, as Chisholm is 4-1 with their only loss to Arlington Heights.
With district play underway, these players can hopefully continue to make a major impact in the future, as the team has six straight regular season games ahead of them due to the early bye week.
