Ranked in the top 1% of her graduating class, Robbins plays volleyball, basketball, soccer, and flag football.
When it comes to her favorite sport, Robbins finds it hard to choose just one. “It depends on the season,” she explains. “When I’m in volleyball season, that’s my favorite, but it shifts to basketball when that season rolls around. If I had to pick one, though, I’d say basketball.”
Balancing academics and athletics is not easy, according to Robbins. She says, “I take it one day at a time. I just focus on what needs to get done each day.”
She remembered a time when she considered dropping a sport during her sophomore year, but quickly realized the importance of sticking with it.
“Each sport brings different friends and dynamics into my life, which shape who I am. I can’t imagine my life without any of them.”
Looking ahead, Robbins dreams of becoming a nurse, with the goal of attending the University of North Carolina. “Through my athletic journey, I’ve seen the impact of injuries and health challenges, which has motivated me to want to enter the medical field,” she declares. “I’m drawn to UNC because of the nursing program, but also for the environment, which will allow me to stay connected to my love of sports.”
Through her hard work and dedication, Robbins has been excellent at keeping her grades up and balancing four sports throughout her high school career. Her perseverance has shaped her into the hard worker she has become and will continue to be as she journeys on.
