Creative education awaits students in the Education First travel program. EF traveling is a program for students who are interested in traveling with their friends and discovering new perspectives of the world! The purpose of EF is to enhance students’ knowledge about the world around them, allow them to practice independence, and help them understand how the world operates outside of what they know.
If any of this sounds intriguing to you, or sparks interest in a friend, you’re in luck: Paschal is involved in the EF programs, and is taking a trip to Spain and Portugal in July of 2025! Mrs. Hubbard is the head of the EF program here at Paschal, and is up to answer any questions students have. Students may visit Mrs. Hubbard in room 257 for more information. There are posters hung around the school that provide basic information and meeting times. If you are interested in the program, you can typically find the posters located near the language hall upstairs near room 270. EF is still accepting travelers for the 2025 tour. Any student interested can visit www.eftours.com and enter the code 2714360XF to register.
EF’s goal is to expand students’ educational opportunities and introduce them to new cultures, people, places, and independence. Throughout the program, students are able to interact with familiar faces, while also engaging with people in a new country as they discover the happenings around them. In Spain students will find themselves exploring the history of Spain and getting hands-on experiences with varying cultures.
Lynne Macias (11th grade) said, “Going on two EF tours has definitely been pivotal for me. These tours have given me a much needed feeling of independence and the ability to explore cultures and interest around the world. It’s allowed me to meet new people and given me the chance to work through my anxiety about talking to strangers. EF tours has genuinely given me some of my favorite memories and there aren’t words for how thankful I am to have gotten this experience.”
Not only do students feel the experience gained through EF; parents do too. When asked about her child’s experience, parent Ashleigh Powell said, “Going on two EF tours has been life changing for my student. She has learned how to adapt, experienced how other parts of the world live, learned independence, gained confidence and began to discover who she is outside of her family and friends at home.”
