This week, from August 19th to August 24th, is Howdy Week. The overall theme is “Panthers Have Olympic Fever,” so on Monday, wear your country’s flag or the flag of the country that you rooted for!

Tuesday is the day of Olympic Rings, so wear your class colors; yellow/gold for freshmen, green for sophomores, red for juniors, and blue for seniors. As for teachers, their color is black.

Wednesday is Senior Polyester day! Keep in mind that this is for SENIORS ONLY. Seniors, we encourage you to wear a groovy 70s outfit (particularly something bright and polyester!).

On Wednesday night, all seniors and ONLY seniors are invited to the Senior Skate Party! It will be at Rollerland West from 7 to 9. Make sure to bring $5 for skates or $9 if you would like blades instead. And PLEASE don’t forget to wear socks if you’re planning on skating!

The theme for Thursday is “Welcome to Paris,” so dress as a tourist! This includes Hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts, sunglasses, and hats.

On Friday, the theme is “Purple Out,” so wear, you guessed it, purple! This could be a Paschal shirt or your very own purple attire. And remember that we will be having a PEP RALLY during school on Friday, so get ready to get loud!

And lastly, the Howdy Dance will be on Saturday night, August 24th! It will take place in the new cafeteria from 8 to 11. It’s $10 at the door and it’s CASH ONLY! You MUST bring your ID in order to enter. The theme for the dance is “Olympic Fever,” so you can wear any appropriate attire that has something to do with the Olympics. This includes dressing as a torch, a judge, or even your favorite athlete. We hope to see you there!
