The charming town of Fort Worth is holding its annual Parade of Lights this weekend! Get all the details here.
The parade will be on Sunday, November 19, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This year’s theme is Holiday Magic. It’ll be held in downtown Fort Worth, and the Grand Marshal will be Coach Sonny Dykes, in honor of TCU’s 150th anniversary.
The Parade of Lights is completely free! Although it’s open to the public for free, you can purchase reserved tickets or “Street Seats” for a more illuminating experience. Tickets are $15 for children and $17.50 for adults. If you would like to purchase tickets or volunteer at the parade, visit https://fortworthparadeoflights.org/.
There are some fun activities that you can do at the parade. Before it initially starts, you can shop and dine around downtown. New retailers and restaurants will offer to-go and in-house options to suit you best. You can come at 4:30 to enjoy hot chocolate and get a good seat.
As for the parade, it will start at 6:00 pm. This year, there will be over 100 floats! Come out to support many members of the Fort Worth community. And don’t miss out on Santa’s float! At 7:20, Santa will begin his trip around the parade on a very special float.
Keep the tradition established in 1983 alive, show up to support your community, and have a good time, all for FREE!
