Fort Worth ISD is asking for parents, students, and teachers to vote on the calendar for the district for the 2019-2020 school year.

The two options present are a 435-minute day calendar, which schedules school to start on August 19 and end on May 28, with an extra snow day worked into the schedule.

The second option is a 450-minute day calendar, which schedules school to start on August 19 and end on May 21, adding 15 more minutes to the school day. This schedule releases students before Memorial day, but also has only one scheduled snow day.

The survey to select an option will be available on www.fwisd.org through Friday, February 22. Based on the results of the survey, a calendar will be presented to the Fort Worth ISD Board of Education for consideration at its next board meeting on Tuesday, February 26.
