What Happened?

The Panthers won a vital game on Tuesday versus Sam Houston. Right now, Paschal is looking in on the basketball playoffs, as they are currently ranked 5th in district. They must move up to 4th place by the end of the season to hold a spot in the playoffs. The Panthers need to win their next four games to have any shot at a postseason opportunity. They took the first step in that process by securing a win on Tuesday night against Sam Houston. Paschal dominated the game, winning by 14 points.

Key Moment

Senior David Wamstad hit a buzzer beater to end the first quarter. The buzzer beater extended the lead and gave Paschal their momentum. After a back and forth first quarter, Wamstad’s bucket set the Panthers to dominate the rest of the game.

Quote

Senior Scott Wheeler said, “With four games left we’re coming down to the final stretch of making our playoff run. We’re currently in fifth right behind Arlington High and with our last four games. We feel very confident that we are going to be right in it until the last week, and we’d love everyone to come out and support our last regular season game of the season Tuesday, February 12th against Bowie at home in the Gus at 7:30”
