A Full Orchestra Holiday

A+Full+Orchestra+Holiday

The holidays are all about celebrating family and uniting people together regardless of any differences.

And after this past year and with the influence of every holiday movie and party ever done the older we get the less we look forward to receiving presents and the more we focus on spending time with the friends and relatives we don’t see as often.

Bringing people together is a huge part of what the holidays are all for and tonight Monday December 13th in the Auditorium Paschal’s Orchestra, under the direction of Christina Glass and Lance Walker will be joined by the band for their winter Concert  made up of a wonderful collection of Holiday tunes and a special performance for their family and friends.

Last night’s concert featured a full orchestra rendition of Sleigh Ride and  A Most Wonderful Christmas  performed by the Paschal Symphony, in collaboration with the Band’s Percussion and  Wind ensemble, this performance was followed by the Paschal Varsity Mariachi under the direction of Alphonso Rayford.

With this being both Christina and Lance’s first year as head director and conducting full orchestra at PHS, last night’s concert has been something long awaited and looked forward to by both all semester.

Thorough months of anticipation and preparation combined with early morning and in class rehearsals both ensembles were more than ready to share their celebration of joy and holiday spirit.
