The Paschal High Choir performed their annual winter concert last night at Arborlawn UMC. The choir of 166 Paschal student participated in the event. The Panther Chorale performed Gloria! A Holiday Celebration, which featured Gloria by Vivaldi, a thirty-minute piece comprised of 12 movements, featuring soloists, Helen Moore (Sr), Kayla Campbell (Sr), Adelynn Segars (Jr), Ellie Bunn (Sr), and Elena Harth-Bedoya (Sr).

In response to how the concert went, senior Haleigh Cox said, “It went well! There was a great turn out and the show went according to plan. It was a perfect last winter concert. The Arborlawn venue was so nice and treated us like performers. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish the fall semester of choir.”

Senior Elena Harth-Bedoya was asked to conduct the piece Tundra, during the concert, “I was very excited when Mr. B asked me but, as he taught me how to conduct I became more nervous because I didn’t realize that conducting takes a lot of work and it is not as easy as it looks.”

She continued, “Right before the performance, I was slightly nervous but more excited since it was close to a full house. After the piece, I turned around and saw the crowd giving me a standing ovation which made me very emotional. I am very gracious for the love and support from my friends and family.”

“I had a blast singing with newfound friends at my first and last winter choir concert. I’m definitely glad I took the chance t0 join choir for my Senior year, ” said Senior David Soto.

“The concert was great! It was nice to finally perform everything we’ve been working on for our friends and families. And I think they really enjoyed it,” said senior choir member Olivia Phillips.
