The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, on Sunday to capture their sixth NFL title in the Tom Brady era. The game, played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, was a low scoring defensive battle until the Patriots broke through and scored the only touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter. The New England franchise brought home another Lombardi trophy on the back of Belichick’s outstanding coaching performance. The Rams, regarded as the most explosive offense in the league, was held to under 300 total yards and 3 points. Super Bowl 53 is now the lowest scoring championship game in NFL history and marked the end of football until September 2019.
